The Play portrays a story of a Palestinian family throughout the first "Intifada" (Uprising). The eldest brother, Daud, supports his entire family by working in Tel-Aviv. His younger brother, Naim, is wanted by the military for his subversive activities and is forced to live in the hills in hiding. Khaled, who is younger still, tries to mediate between the two, while taking care of the youngest brother, Nazal, who was shot by the army in a rally; he was taken to by his older brothers and has since been in a coma. The play opens with Naim's decent from the hills accompanied by his friends with the intent of settling the score with some informers in town. With help from Khaled, he meets his older brother, Daud, to verify the rumors of his cooperation with the Israelis. Daud denies the allegations but gets entangled in the web he himself has spun. This is a story of a family torn apart by forces far greater then their own, and showcases the intensity of a conflict between one's loyalty to family and to one's people.
